For the past ten years, ADEME, INRAE and the agricultural and agri-food technical institutes have been working together on the issue of the environmental assessment of agricultural and food products through the Agribalyse programme.
As a continuation of this programme, ADEME, INRAE, ACTA (Network of Agricultural Technical Institutes) and ACTIA (French Network of Agri-food Technical Institutes) created on 29 September 2021 a Scientific Interest Grouping (SIG) "Network for the Environmental Assessment of Agricultural and Food Products - REVALIM" for a period of 5 years.

The two network heads and 11 agricultural and agri-food technical institutes, including ITERG, have undertaken to strengthen their partnership with ADEME and INRAE and thus contribute to the development of methods and data to support the players in the agricultural and food sectors in their eco-design of production, processing and distribution methods, and to develop support for consumer information

ITERG, as an accredited member of the GIS, will sit on the Scientific and Technical Committee of the GIS, which will be responsible for

  • to propose a 5-year roadmap on different axes: consolidating methods, producing data, supporting users of the database, international relations,
  • to propose the content of research projects and the modalities for their implementation,
  • to instruct and validate the scientific choices of the projects developed,
  • propose desired developments and methodologies concerning data and databases.

ITERG is delighted with the creation of this GIS and sees it as an opportunity for synergy to collectively define the guidelines for calculating the environmental impact of agricultural and food products.
