Launching of the UMT Actia Profeel (Nutritional and sustainable plant formulation)
To meet the challenges of the food transition currently underway in industrialized countries, the agri-food sector must change the composition of their products by favoring "clean label" formulas. The challenge is to replace ingredients with others that are healthier and more sustainable, without altering the sensory qualities, preservation and physical stability of the product, as well as its nutritional value.
In this context, the UMT Actia Profeel is positioned to respond, through a multidisciplinary approach, to the challenges of the oil and protein sector, as well as to the needs of new formulation strategies consistent with a "sustainable functional plant food" adapted to societal expectations, regulations and targeted applications.
This UMT, coordinated by ITERG (Cécile Joseph) started in January 2023 for a period of five years.
