Would you like to reduce the environmental impact of your food products?

The ECOQUALINA project is a fine example of successful collaboration between food industry operators and eco-design experts.

This project enabled 10 SIQO-certified supply chains* in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region to receive support from specialists at the RMT ACTIA ECOVAL network, including those from ITERG, to conduct a detailed assessment of their products’ environmental footprint and identify concrete ways to improve their environmental performance.

This approach also gives them a valuable head start for the future environmental labelling of food products.

* the production chains for Poitou-Charentes lamb, Limousin lamb, Périgord lamb, and Pyrenees milk-fed lamb, Ossau-Iraty Cheese, Charentes-Poitou Butter, Bayonne Ham, Southwestern Pork, Agen Prunes, and Marennes-Oléron Oysters.

Let’s meet at ENSMAC on November 15, 2024, for this day dedicated to ECOQUALINA’s work!

Two ITERG experts, Fabrice BOSQUE and François LEROY, will talk to you about eco-design in the food industry, and more specifically for the Agen Prune sector, but also about environmental labelling!

Fabrice Bosque, Head of Environment and Eco-Industries at ITERG, will speak on:
- "Improving the environmental performance of food through eco-design"
- "Presentation of the ECOQUALINA project, its results, and future prospects"
- "Environmental labeling of food products"

François Leroy, Eco-Industries Environment Project Manager at ITERG, will present the example of the Agen Prune sector: "When sectors come together to reduce their impact."
