Towards the oil mill of the future: the OLEODIGIT project in the spotlight

A decisive step towards the digital transformation of the agri-food industry is underway

In an article published in Les Echos on 29/09/25, Frank Niedercorn highlights the work carried out by ITERG and its partners as part of the OLEODIGIT project, an ambitious program dedicated to the development of the digital twin applied to the oilseed and protein crop sector.

A three-way partnership in Bordeaux

Developed under the auspices of theUMT Actia OLEODIGIT, the project brings together three leading Bordeaux-based organizations: ITERG,the IMS (Laboratory for the Integration of Materials into Systems), and Terres Inovia.

Their common goal: to accelerate the digitization and optimization of extraction and transformation processes in the industry, in order to offer manufacturers next-generation predictive solutions.

A vision supported by research

Boris Bizet, project coordinator at ITERG:

" We can imagine results of various kinds, whether innovative sensors, new models or specific production itineraries, translated in terms of product quality, eco-efficiency or even yield. "
