EstoLight are biosourced polymers derived from vegetable oils, patented by ITERG. These naturally-derived products effectively disperse mineral fillers (pigments, pearlescents, colorants, glitter, particles), while ensuring uniform blending and good sensoriality.
This makes them an excellent choice for high-performance, environmentally-friendly cosmetics.

- EstoLight -1E is liquid and non-crystallizing (100% amorphous)

- Enables efficient dispersion of concentrated pigment bases even under low shearing conditions
- 3 to 5% of additive in pigment bases (50% pigment, qsp caprilic/capric triglyceride).

Technical assessments
Studies conducted: the proven performance of EstoLight-1E in terms of dispersion,
stability, and formulation quality
Studies conducted (microscopy, dispersion in fat phase, LUMiFuge tests, pigmented emulsions) clearly demonstrate that EstoLight-1E improves dispersion and slows pigment sedimentation, even under accelerated stress conditions.
1. Unmilled pigments: significantly improved dispersion
Observations show that:

without EstoLight-1E, large pigment aggregates are present,
-
With EstoLight-1E, unground pigments are much better dispersed.

Under centrifugation, the sedimentation rate decreases significantly.
👉 EstoLight-1E enables finer and more uniform dispersion, even on difficult pigments.
2. Fat phase: significantly slower sedimentation
Sedimentation rates measured at LUMiFuge consistently show:

a slower descent of pigments in the presence of EstoLight-1E,
-
dispersions that remain visually more homogeneous,

less aggregation observed after centrifugation.
👉 EstoLight-1E significantly improves pigment suspension stability.
3. Iron oxides: better particle retention in the fatty phase
Tests on red, yellow, and black oxides show:

slower sedimentation with EstoLight-1E,
-
more even dispersion and fewer clumps,
-
in some cases, more uniform crystallization of fats.
👉 EstoLight-1E optimizes the dispersion of mineral pigments and improves their behavior under stress.
4. Colorants: improved suspension and better hold
The results show:

slower sedimentation with EstoLight-1E,

a more uniform color,
-
emulsions that show enhanced stability according to tests.
👉 Even with very fine pigments, EstoLight-1E improves dispersion stability.
